Africa Expedition:
From August to December 2012 I was in East Africa with 12 girls and my co-leader, Elizabeth.  We lived with the Maasai tribe in Tiemamut, Kenya, saw Mount Kilimanjaro every day in Moshi, Tanzania, and were part of the vision of Zehandi Missions in Senga Bay, Malawi.  We were the first all-girls Africa Expedition team, and being a gang of 14 American girls in Africa was a little...challenging at times.  But we had the best possible hosts who took great care of us, and we met the most beautiful friends along the way.

Nicaragua:
In the summer of 2011 I went to Nicaragua with 15 people I didn't know who became some of the best friends I could have asked for.  That wasn't what I had planned for that summer, but it was exactly what I needed.  My Spanish got a whole lot better, I learned a lot about who God is and about prayer, and of course I learned about 15 dances and skits that we did on the daily in the barrios of Diriamba.  We made so many sweet friends and heard some truly heart-breaking stories.
