About Me [and my blog]

I am the Ministry & Finance Administrator at World Horizons USA and Hillside Missions Organization.  That means I'm learning a lot about Quickbooks, sending a lot of emails, talking to a lot of people on the phone, and getting to be a part of really amazing things that God is doing around the world among unreached people groups. I'm a recent graduate of the University of Virginia and I miss living in Charlottesville.  Even the living with 10 roommates part.  I love Jesus and I'm learning what it means to really surrender to following Him.  I love eating and talking with friends, reading, traveling, music, and watching too much TV.  I miss the smell of the Dominican Republic, dancing and only being understood half the time in Nicaragua, and the hot African sun.  I really like wearing Chacos, and if it were socially acceptable I might wear them every day (since I miraculously got them back).  I like going to baseball games, but it's a really big commitment to watch one on TV.

I started this blog to write about my adventures in Nicaragua, revived it when I led a trip to East Africa, and now I'm using it to (occasionally) write about my job, my life, and how you can be a part of it and a part of Hillside and Horizons.  It's lucky that I came up with such a versatile title that could conform to any topic I choose to write about...

I also make this face in pictures a lot:
